Regenerative Medicine Madison, AL

What is Regenerative Medicine?

Have you thought about the benefits of Regenerative Medicine or its more frequently thought of term, stem cell therapy? If you have, now is a great time to get on board. If you haven’t, it is a great time to get informed and get treated. I’ll tell you why in a moment. In the meantime, I want you to be fully educated about regenerative or recruitment cell therapy. Keep reading.

Millions of people struggle with the intense pain, discomfort and loss of mobility associated with osteoarthritis — “Arthur”. “Arthur” is a very painful and relentless disease that can affect structures all over the body including the spine, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, feet and toes. It is often difficult to treat with traditional treatments due to its progressive reputation. Traditionally, we have offered band-aid solutions with over the counter and prescription anti-inflammatories, narcotic and non-narcotic medications, bracing, steroids, therapy and even surgery. Often, this is met with transient or short-term relief followed by lengthy episodes of debilitating pain.

The joy of cooking, gardening or even playing with the kids or grand kids becomes an enormous and weakening task. Daily work activities like standing, bending or stooping or even sitting becomes exhausting and difficult to complete. Often I have to treat individuals whose get up and go has gotten up and gone. When simple daily and even fun activities sap your mojo, it is time to do something about it.

If my training at Howard University Medical School, the Johns Hopkins and Sinai Hospital combined Internal Medicine, as well as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation programs at the same time has taught me anything, it is that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Hmm, I think my mother taught me that first.

Nonetheless, being one of 2 students accepted each year into one of the country's most prestigious institutions, I have had the great opportunity to meet with and treat thousands of individuals plagued with pain associated with conditions that were seemingly insurmountable. Now, I have been a treating physician for more than 25 years and an interventional pain provider for more than 10 and the story is still the same. Pain hurts. It is devitalizing and draining. But there’s hope in the form of regenerative medicine or stem cell recruitment therapy and now you have the amazing opportunity to benefit from my years of training and treating through this revolutionary treatment protocol.

Regenerative Medicine uses nature’s chemistry and biology to help repair and enhance the function and structure of joints and soft tissue instead of masking the pain with pain medication and drugs, patching it with steroid procedures or replacing them with biological hardware (joint replacements). It offers the benefit of healing with a simple injection that can be done right in my office reducing time commitments, pain and inflammation, minimizing scar tissue formation and supporting soft tissue repair. Moreover, stem cell recruitment therapy addresses the root cause of pain instead of just masking it. It is innovative, non-invasive, non-addictive, and simple with minimal to no side effects offering hope to otherwise hopeless pain sufferers. It is the best and most viable alternative to surgery. It is the way of the future available to you right now!

As you know, at Pain 2 Wellness Healthcare, we pride ourselves in conservative treatments for pain, inflammation and unfortunate metabolic diseases. We offer various products to avoid “the knife” because once cut, Pandora’s box opens with often uncertain and unsuccessful results. And unfortunately, there is no turning back. We have found much success using this stem cell recruitment therapy, which supports your own body’s stem cell ability and function.

How does it work? I thought you would never ask. First, let me share some of the conditions that can be treated with stem cell recruitment therapy. If you are curious about a condition that isn’t listed here, please send me an inquiry by using this form!

All About Stem Cell Recruitment Therapy Madison, AL

All About Stem Cell Recruitment Therapy

You are born with the most stem cells you will ever have, so that if you gathered 10,000 cells in your body at birth, at least 1 of those would be a stem cell. These very special cells are responsible for healing and replacing damaged tissues. They go where your body needs them to go and become what your body needs them to become. You may have noticed that when a child suffers a scrape it heals in record time. Unfortunately, as we age, cuts and scrapes take much longer to heal. That is because our stem cell numbers decrease as we age. It looks something like this:

Number of Stem Cells at Different Ages

Age Stem cell count
Newborn 1:10,000
Teenager 1:100,000
Age 30 1:250,000
Age 50 1:400,000
Age 80 1:2,000,000

As you can see, as we age, the number of stem cells decreases. With the passage of time, finding a stem cell is like finding a needle in a haystack. What does that mean to the person in pain? It means that the cells that have the special task of reducing inflammation, repairing damaged tissue and alleviating pain are fewer and fewer. The number of these precious viable stem cells are less and less.

Here is another way of looking at it.

The good part is; there is hope. There is a way to alleviate pain and repair damaged tissue through a simple office procedure using stem cell recruitment therapy. Want to know more about stem cells and how they work? Click the play button on this video:

When I started investigating the utility of stem cell recruitment therapy as alternatives to surgery, I was pretty skeptical because at one point, I thought surgery was the only answer. Since then, I have seen many people whose surgery has failed come to me for further treatments despite having already had surgical intervention. Don’t get me wrong, surgery works well for some. As a matter of fact, if I am in a car accident and my internal organs are damaged and bleeding, please perform surgery. Maybe even use stem cells during the procedure to enhance my recovery, but in non-life threatening situations, regenerative therapy is a viable and often preferable alternative to surgery.

During my training at the Johns Hopkins/Sinai Hospital program, I was first trained in stem cell therapy by performing bone marrow aspirates. Watching this painful procedure brought tears to my eyes, but the results were exceptional. Since then, I have been providing stem cell recruitment therapy with prepared cells that saves time, money and pain.

I have been using this stem cell recruitment therapy for more than 6 years now and the results have been amazing in most instances. I cannot tell you that this is guaranteed because in medicine, nothing is guaranteed, but I have had a higher rate of long term success with this treatment than any other. My success rate is at 80%. That’s better odds than many therapies out there. My second most successful treatment is cold laser. (If you want to hear more about cold laser treatment, click here).

Still, I needed to do more research, so I did a search on the National Institutes of Medicine and the National Library of Medicine and read many research studies. I found that stem cells have amazing potential for musculoskeletal conditions as well as many other conditions. Here is one of the many research studies that I read: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29078802/

Now, there are many ethical ways to obtain stem cells (fetal or embryonic stem cells are unethical and illegal and presents moral and ethical issues for me because it jeopardizes human life and I have sworn to preserve life). Some ethical ways of obtaining stem cells such as through amniotic or placental tissue are available. I started out using amniotic stem cells, but I found that this is just a portion of the tissue that presents the best results.

Another way to obtain stem cells is autologous (your own tissue as previously mentioned) procedures such as through fat cells or bone marrow, but these ways of obtaining stem cells are expensive, invasive to obtain and quite painful, I might add, because they are obtained from your bone (iliac crest) or adipose tissue (fat). Unless you are a youth (at which point, you have enough for healing on your own in most instances), many of the cells are damaged, and are older and closer to death as previously discussed and demonstrated.

At Pain 2 Wellness Healthcare, we use donated umbilical cord blood products that are ethically derived from healthy donors after full term pregnancy. We obtain strict informed consent from the mothers of the youngest cells you can use. The donors are healthy women who are thoroughly screened for communicable diseases with a careful medical and social history collected in advance. Once the tissue goes through a strict safety process and is checked for sterility, bacteria, viruses and other unhealthy material, the tissue is either rejected or accepted based on strict criteria. The accepted tissue is ready for distribution.

Once obtained at Pain 2 Wellness Healthcare, we provide a simple, fast and safe delivery through office injections. We have always been committed to providing our patients with the highest quality tissue available. We are proud to offer Wharton's Jelly to stimulate growth and repair. The cells are potent, robust and customized to each individual based on location, chronicity and intensity of pathology. Spinal procedures require live xray through fluoroscopy, but shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, feet and toes are safely performed in the office with or without ultrasound guidance.

At Pain 2 Wellness Healthcare, we use stem cell recruitment therapy for many conditions including back pain, carpal tunnel, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, foot pain, hip pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, stiffness, sciatica, hand pain and our favorite—knee pain due to arthritis or other internal damage.

This treatment provides lubrication and flexibility to the joints that allow it to experience smooth mobility, eliminating pain and improving range of motion.

What To Expect During Treatment

Oh. I forgot. You probably have some other questions. Let’s see if we can answer at least some of them for you. If you have other questions, we can answer them on your consult.

Now, what I love about providing stem cell recruitment therapy is that anyone can be treated since they do not cause an immune response rejecting the injection. It also provides optimum potential to stimulate regeneration, anti-inflammatory activity, and immune modulating capacity. Though each patient is different, it typically takes 2 weeks to 2 months to feel better. Some results are immediate, but most take longer because this is a regenerative process. Of course, there are no promises for results, but an 80% success rate is pretty good odds.

I also like that the cells are rigorously tested for safety and are also tested for sterility. It is checked for numerous diseases including, but not limited to HIV, Lyme’s disease, Syphilis, multiple forms of Hepatitis, other viruses and much more.

Are there any side effects or contraindications to these procedures? Side effects are few and come in the variety of discomfort associated with the injection. Very rarely, one may have nausea or flu-like symptoms, but I haven’t had anyone complain of this.

I am cautious if you have a bleeding disorder. I would not proceed with any injections until the bleeding is treated appropriately. Infections at the site of injection would require treatment to clear it up before proceeding.

The goal is to fix the area of concern with one treatment though depending on the severity, some patients may get increased benefit with a second treatment. The cells don’t grow into something else. The cells can only be used for what we call homologous function of the cell. That means that a stem cell can only be used for a function that it normally performs in the body.

Though you will receive a complete complex of cells that include anti-inflammatory cells, the real magic comes in the stem cells that divide and replicate themselves every 28 hours for 65 generations or around 90 days. That means the cells keep working long after the injection is complete.

I must say that we do not claim to cure any metabolic diseases, such as heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, congestive heart failure or type 2 diabetes with stem cells. This kind of treatment is performed outside of the US through IV administration. However, we have an amazing program to treat metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes through our incredible, physician-guided, coach-assisted, lifestyle approach that includes hormone balancing (for more information about our Reverse it! Program, click here).

The treatments usually take about 10 minutes for a site, but of course multiple sites require more time. We do allow time for preparation.

Now you may be asking about the cost. Absolutely, there is a cost, but it is much lower than the cost for out of the country treatments that may run in excess of $35,000 in Panama. In the US, pricing is typically between $5495 and $20,495 (for the most complicated cases). Compare that cost to surgery with deductibles, copays, facility fees, etc. not to mention rehabilitation post surgery, pills, time off work or activity, pain, opportunities lost... What does it mean to you?

Financing programs are available with 0% interest for 14 months and from now until September 30, we are able offer a discount of $1000 off! So if $1000 is important for you, now is a great time to fix your pain.
